MBM is providing full scope cost planning and cost management services for the design and construction phases under a Managing Contractor Procurement model.

Responding to the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, the Victorian Government committed funding to deliver 144 new acute public mental health beds.

The new beds include 120 hospital-based beds and 24 home-based beds. The hospital-based beds will be delivered across 4 sites:

  • Northern Hospital, Epping
  • Sunshine Hospital, St Albans
  • The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville
  • McKellar Centre, North Geelong

The delivery of the Pathways project was fast tracked to enable the facilities to be operational by 2023.

The accelerated nature of the program delivery meant that innovative strategies are implemented to ensure the programme and budget commitment is met.
